If you haven't been a viewer of my blog from day one, you may have a few questions about me! Here is the low-down about the woman behind Face First Beauty...

Hello there! I'm Carrie, a 20-something Iowa girl, with a serious obsession of all things beauty. I officially started blogging in January of 2013. I started all of this as a way to document my passion for makeup, skincare, fashion, and lifestyle. I think of blogging as a personal, creative outlet and a way to write about what I know & love, and share it all with you! All thoughts and opinions are genuine.

Outside of blogging, I am currently at medical school pursuing a degree in health science as well as a degree in cardiac ultrasound. I like to think my interest in science connects back to my love for all things beauty.

You may occasionally hear about my personal life as well! My boyfriend Burke is a very important part of my life & I am over-the-moon to share daily life with him...and his cute pup Sidney. 

I hope the moral of my blogging becomes just this: "Proper skincare and exploring the world of makeup unites us women. Makeup and skincare is much more than label and image. I see it as knowledge on how to embrace and LOVE the skin we are in."

MakeUpByTiffanyD has been my main inspiration (and enabler) for nearly 4 years. 

Ranunculus are my favorite flower.

My favorite time of the year is early fall: think crisp mornings!

In my next life, I would go to culinary school.
